The Essential Competency Profile for Physiotherapists briefly explains about the knowledge, skills and attitudes required by physiotherapists at the onset of and throughout their career. The development of the Essential Competency Profile for Physiotherapist Assistants was made available through the collaboration of numerous organizations and individuals. The Essential Competencies and Entry-to-Practice Milestones are intended to provide guidance in several areas including: informing curriculum content, setting accreditation standards, developing exam blueprints, and establishing a baseline for areas of specialization.
